Scrap Friendzy weekend

Heather & I scrapped together Friday & Saturday. (in between the boys boys baseball games)
I was able to work on Scrap Friendzy's challenges.
4/5 Lots of flowers (used 6)4/18 Red ribbon challenge4/23 See- through Sensations To do the see through, I used a clear mat cover from Cricut. Cut it bigger to attach to the back of the purple cardstock. (Just make sure after putting it all together it's still 12 x12 size) Cut out different size letters from the Cricut, sticker and add! :) This was very fun doing. Will be doing this again. I'm thinking baseball theme stickers on the see through.

If you haven't checked out Scrap Friendzy do so. Challenge everyday, friendz pointz, friendship, and a new forum. Stop over say hi and try out the challenges. :)

Thanks for looking and don't forget to stop by soon to check out my other LOs.

I did Nary's challenge "Thread it up" Use floss to wrap around chipboard.

Would have never thought of doing this and I like how it turned out.

Scrapstreet Star Round 5

The list came out yesterday and I wasn't on it to go on to round 5. I had so much fun doing the challenges. Dora did a great job this year with them. I hope you enjoyed stopping by every week and seeing my creations for each challenges.
I did start on round 5 challenge before the list of names came out. We had to come up with a challenge, write it out, scrap it and have others scrap it.

Here's mine. If you take my challenge on, please post link to your LO here. Would love to see what you came up with. I really like my idea that I came up with and would like to see others as well.

Scrapbooking the Greener way, get your GREEN on and scrap your pages

Going Green is getting very popular all around us. From the cars we drive, to how we recycle in our homes, and let’s not forget how we make the garden “green”. “Going Green” is basically everywhere and now starting to hit the scrapbooking world.
One definition for Recycle is to adapt to a new use. Recycling is perfect for scrapbookers, we’re always trying to find new things to add to our pages. So what better way but to look around and see what we can “recycle”. There are a lot of things in your home that you can use to add character and texture to your pages.
Going Green challenge: Use 3 or more recyclable items on your LO.
We all know the 3 arrow circle means “Recycle”, so make sure you have 3 arrows added to your page. (The arrows do not have to be in a circle or together)
If you choose to take the “Going Green” challenge, list the recycled products used and how you adapted them for your page.
Some recycle ideas:
Paper bags,
Pop tabs
Bottle caps
Labels
Cardboard
Buttons
Cereal box
Have fun with this challenge and remember "Go Green"

Scrapstreet Star round 4

WOOOO HOOOOO I made it to round 4!! This week we had to scrap our style and write an article about our style.
Finished mine up today. :) Voting starts tonight. Keep your fingers croosed. I would really like to go on. I did this contest last year and really had fun. I made it to round 4 and then was sent to the green room. I continued scrapping round 5 and was asked to be on Scrapstreet pit crew!! I've been there a year and have had a blast. The girls are the greatest and really makes you feel welcomed. Why not stop by and say hi. Don't forget to stop over at the magazine and see what all the talented scrappers have done.
Here is my article and LO:

Eclectic
Style is expressed in every aspect of our lives and is carried over to our designs. When I think of my style I chuckle as my minds eye goes through each room of my home. I guess you might call my style in furniture “Early Mother”. The treasured hutch that has seen 4 children grow up and survived the slamming of its doors on more than one occasion is nestled in the corner. The sewing basket my mother brought back from Germany with the rest of the 17,500 pounds of stuff that she just couldn’t live without, sits nest to that old comfortable chair. The old wooden barrel wringer washer that now holds flowers on the patio; bring back memories of my Dad trying to carry that thing up eight flights of stairs in military housing because my mother wanted to put towels in it in our bathroom. When I think of style, I remember my father’s style of dress. He thought he had gotten such a good deal on these $3.00 rubbery shoes that he wore around the yard and to the grocery store with his white socks nearly to his knees. He had no idea that they were beach shoes and that he looked quite funny. No greater man lives than my Dad; he has the style and honor of a gentleman. As for me… I inherit the style of both these folks. I am ECLECTIC by natures design. I see possibilities everywhere and I have found an outlet for my style in my scrap booking. I love color and texture and movement. I want my designs to touch the senses, be full of sentiment and carry my message to the future. My pictures are my memories preserved. The heart of my design is what is important to me. I use the tools of the trade as my medium and my canvas is a glimpse into my soul.

Scrapstreet Star Round 3 I made it!!!

This round we are playing with the star shape--how will you show yours off? You must make one layout and 3 cards--using at least one paper or element in common on all 4 creations. Yes, you are creating your very own constellation. Reach for the stars!

Ohhh I had fun fun fun doing my LO of Garrett and his sport pictures, (I used 12 pictures) and coming up with 3 cards. I haven't made a card in a while and I have to say... it was fun!!

The biggest challenge for me was making the cards, we had to carry something over from the LO and use on all 3 cards. I carried over the pattern paper. Really had to think outside my box on that. But I'm really happy on how they all turned out.

Thanks for looking and stopping by each week to see what I have done for each round.
Voting starts Fri. Keep your fingers crossed that my name will be on the round 4 list.

Thanks for looking. :)

Journaling:
Who will you look like,
How will you be?
Will you look like Daddy or me?
Ten little fingers and ten little toes,
A wrinkled up forehead and a cute button nose.
You will be crying with that first cold touch,
And so will I because I love you so much.
