New LO, baseball & track

I did this LO for The Sketch World DT. Well the names were posted today and my name wasn't on the list. :( Oh well I tried, had fun scrapping my LO . It's still a great site and love Lucy's sketches. Congrats to the girls that did make the DT!! Can't wait to see your LOs!

Nothing new has been going on here. LOTS of rain! I'm so ready for spring to get here. I want to wear my flip flops!

High school baseball cuts were today. Garrett made the team!! Whoo hooo Go Garrett!!!

Last night was the red & white track meet, Garrett did the 100, 200, 1 -10 highs (hurdles) and high jump. It was cold and rainy and really made it hard to run & jump! He didn't do to bad in the 100 & 200, scared me when he did the high hurdles (lol) and came in 2nd in the high jump. He jumped 5'6! Last year his record for high jump was 5'. Not bad uh?

I guess thats all the news from wet, cold & rainy WV.
Chat with ya soon. :)

Cropping weekend

This weekend was Scrapstreet's crop weekend. Holi Festival Of Colors was the theme this month.
I was able to get a few LOs done. Still have a couple more I would like to finish before the night is over. But I wanted to post a couple of my LOs that I did.

Friday Chasity and I went and got our toes done.We had a full moon challenge. Scrap round. The picture I scrapped is the moon on Christmas Eve. Everyone had their theory on what the ring around the moon was. One was, hole in the ozone. Another Santa was lost and was going in circles, Bright star over Bethlehem.
What it really is The ring around the Moon is caused by the refraction of Moonlight (which of course is reflected sunlight) from ice crystals in the upper atmosphere. The shape of the ice crystals results in a focusing of the light into a ring. Since the ice crystals typically have the same shape, namely a hexagonal shape, the Moon ring is almost always the same size.

To check out the rest of my LOs I was able to do click here.

Hope everyone is having a great fun weekend.

It's been a couple of days

I've been so busy organizing my scrap corner that I haven't been online much.

Friday I got a silly idea in my head. I wanted to add another table to my scrap corner and take out the wire rack. So I took the table out of the bathroom that we put our bath towels on and moved the wire rack in there for the towels.

See when I get a silly idea in my head I go full force with it. So instead of going through each cubby in the wire rack, I took everything out and laid it on the floor or the diningroom table!

After I moved the table out to my scrap corner I relized that it was sitting on the heat vent. The only one in the room. Well I can't freeze in the winter time sitting at my desk. So I ran down to the hardware store and bought wheels. While I was there I also picked up a peg board (2x4) to hang on my wall. And some hooks. Ohhhh I was so excited about my board! Course when I brought it all home, I still had my mess to go through. So the board had to wait.

Yesterday Chris & I went to another hardware store to buy some wood to make a frame to put on the back of the peg board. I decided I wanted to paint my board. Bought some more hooks and a can of paint. Came home and started painting. My mess still waiting to go through. :)

This morning we hung the board and I started going through the mess and added scrap thing to the board. Ohhhh I love it! I have just finished cleaning off my desk... yes I still have a mess on the floor but it's dwindling.

Here's pictures of my mess. After I get it all organized I'll post my new scrap corner. :)

New LO

The pattern paper is from this months Scrapstreets kit (October Afternoon). Oh my love this paper. The chipboard letters are Thickers from American Crafts. (Didn't know I had any, I guess when you start cleaning up your scrap area you find fun things you didn't know you had.) Also the sketch is from My Sketch World. Lovin Lucy's sketches. Very fun!! Take a peek of them and try them out.

Jacob's new glasses

Jacob's glasses came in today. He looks so cute with them on. When we left the eye Drs, I saw him just looking around at all the signs making sure he could read them. (kinda broke my heart) Then the sun popped out for a minute, he came into the house telling me that there was a rainbow and he could see it!!!

Repeating

Do you find yourself saying the same thing over and over again every day? I do!! So today I made a list of things I say everyday to the kids.

*Stop touching each other
*turn the light off
*shut the front door
*get out of the fridge
*stop eating, dinners almost done
*stop running in the house
*take the ball outside
*who got the milk out?
*turn the TV down
*I already told you what we are having for dinner

LOL Oh I'm sure i can go on & on.

Little bit of this & a little bit of that

First, a big thank you to Spink for doing my background for me. I love it!!

and Second.. We had a taste of spring today!! Ok well it wasn't like TX, AL or CA weather (hi girls) but for for WV it was nice!

Today was the little ones baseball try outs. They both said they did ok.
While I was waiting for the boys to get done with their try outs, I was again informed that both of them may NOT be on the SAME team!! Again I informed this board member that the boys won't be playing baseball then. I really don't understand why they have such a problem putting brothers on the same team. Lord knows it would make my life just a tad less stressful. I mean come on... lets think about this...I have 4 children, Garrett is trying out for high school baseball and track. (most likely will make both teams. If not baseball, track for sure) Jennifer works at the movie theater a couple days a week and every weekend, and then Michael & Jacob playing baseball.
Now Garrett's practices.. track right after school, high school baseball different times every day. Now once high school baseball is over, Garrett will then start practicing on the Babe Ruth team. If you play high school ball you have to wait to be release to play for Babe Ruth. Little league baseball (Jacob & Michael) practices every night. Oh now lets not forget that I'm married to a Military man. (those of you that are in the military or have been, know about) know that you can't always count on their help.
I guess to make a long story short... I'm only one person! ( and all I ask for is to put both of my boys on the same team!)

Today made day 4 on Garrett's driving lessons. :) He's doing pretty good. Still trying to get used to the gas pedal. He likes to "gun" it when taking off. He know wants to go everywhere with me, so he can drive!

Well I guess that's it for tonight. I'm off to get things ready for morning and go read a bit.
Have a good night...
